“In the beginning I worked mainly with paper, making small scale models” says Amitai.”whenever I saw potential or a need to check stability I translated the small paper model in to a life size sheet metal model.”

02 CHIPBOARD FOLDING

KIT:

– Universal laser cut machine at studio 7

– 1/16″x14″x17″ chipboard

– settings:  power 70,  speed 10,  500ppi

OBJECTIVE:

Taking Laser cutting process as a preparatory test for the cutting on water jet and CNC. Material used: 1/16″ chipboard of which the rigidity and malleability somewhat resembles that of metal sheet / timber sheet.
